About the Job

TEC is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative support to manage processes within the Human Resources/Payroll department. If you are looking for an opportunity to grow your career with an employer that is on the cutting edge of the telecommunications industry, then join TEC!

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payrolls
  • Assist with recruiting efforts
  • Complete pre-employment background process for new hires
  • Complete new hire paperwork into the HRIS/Payroll system, new hire onboarding and providing new hires with training materials
  • Manage, maintain tracking, reporting, collecting documentation, and taking action required for processes which include but are not limited to life insurance, COVID, training programs, employee service awards, vehicle reporting, birthday lists, headcounts, corporate parking access, safety and driver’s log and MVRs, Termination Checklists, employee record keeping, and compliance postings for all companies
  • Respond to requests including but not limited to labor statistics, quarterly occupations, injury reports, employment and wage verifications, garnishments, unemployment, and EEO-1 report
  • Assist in the administration of TEC’s Workers’ Compensation Insurance which includes preparation of filing of all Workers’ Compensation Insurance claims, updating and sending out Corvel Provider lists, and preparing and posting OSHA Log reports
  • Plan and collaborate with others in the organizing and implementation of TEC’s company sponsored events such as community fundraisers, luncheons, and annual Christmas Party
  • Other duties assigned

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one to three years in human resources, payroll, or other related field
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Good organizational and communication skills
