TEC is pleased to announce the promotion of Lisa Wigington to Vice President of Strategic Operations. Throughout her 26 years working for TEC, Lisa has demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication to her roles within the financial and operations departments. Lisa’s recent responsibilities in project planning, application, award, construction management, and compliance of infrastructure grants and loans are key in TEC’s future fiber development projects and growth.
In her new role as Vice President, Lisa will be responsible for managing and coordinating fiber expansion projects. She also will maintain current responsibilities within the Regulatory Assurance Department.
Lisa holds a Bachelor and a Master of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University and worked in public accounting for the regional firm Whitaker Lipp & Healea for four years before moving to the telecommunications industry. Lisa is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Certification as a Project Management Professional. During her tenure with TEC, Lisa has been responsible for creating models for new products and product lines, writing grant applications, responding to RFPs, and managing the initiation, planning, and execution of those projects. Lisa is also responsible for all TEC companies’ regulatory compliance.
TEC has been providing telecom services to rural America for nearly a century, and they were the first to bring internet options to its rural markets over 20 years ago. TEC provides economic stability to their local service areas, employing over 200 people across Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.
