Fiber Construction Underway in West Tennessee

Bradford, Tennessee – Carroll County is the next area to begin enjoying the benefits of TEC’s fiber-optic broadband network. Construction has started installing fiber optic cable on Highway 105 in Trezevant, and TEC plans to complete the McLemoresville and Buena Vista Community projects in the second quarter of 2021. The total investment of this project is $1,837,061 and is being funded by a grant in the amount of $826,677 from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and TEC will contribute a cash match in the amount of $1,010,384. When completed, the project will provide access to Fast Fiber Internet to over 281 homes and businesses in the communities of Buena Vista and McLemoresville.

In recognition of the vital public services provided by the McLemoresville Activity Center and the Public Safety Building in Huntingdon, TEC will donate laptops and provide 36 months of broadband internet access free of charge to support public access in these communities.
