Telecommunications carrier TEC today announced a robust fiber buildout project that promises to deliver state-of-the-art Internet to residents of Fox Hollow and the surrounding area. TEC will offer their xStream Internet products, which will provide customers increased Internet speeds, resulting in a more quality
Wi-Fi product, better telecommuting or distance learning, and better performance with streaming applications.
Forrest Collier “We are encouraged by the interest and support from residents in this area, and we look forward to expanding our fiber network here in Jones county. With this project, TEC will offer the first fiber Internet technology in this footprint, establishing increased speeds that will approach 1 gigabit” said Joey F. Garner, Executive Vice President of TEC.
Forrest Collier, TEC’s Director of Plant Operations, added, “We have construction plans and equipment ready to go, and we hope to have this project completed by the end of the second quarter.”
