TEC completes additional Fast Fiber Internet access to the Red Rock Community

CHEROKEE, Ala. (December 6, 2021) – TEC, a leading provider of broadband in Alabama, has completed the build for additional Fast Fiber Internet access in the Red Rock community in Barton. Crews have begun installing high-speed internet service to more than 100 residences and businesses.

“The new fiber internet provided by TEC is better than any solutions I have previously had at my shop,” said Josh Bullock, owner of Double R Diagnostics. “I am now able to conduct my operations at the shop that were tough to do before. I now can perform transactions, order parts, run diagnostics equipment, and utilize streaming capabilities. I now have the ability to easily post content on social media.”

Having access to Fast Fiber Internet from TEC creates the opportunity to participate in things like telemedicine, distance learning, and work from home options, which contribute greatly to an improved quality of life. Additionally, high-speed broadband provides personal enjoyment, such as streaming videos or gaming.

“TEC is thrilled to provide even more Fast Fiber Internet access to the Red Rock community, states Joey F. Garner, Executive Vice President of TEC. “We remain committed to connecting as many homes and businesses as possible. Gaining access to high-speed broadband will greatly improve the quality of life for this community and increase economic development.”
